Wayzata’s waterfront and community resources

The completed Lakewalk

Panoway has changed Wayzata’s public waterfront in phases. The city reports phase 1 completed in fall 2020 and phase 2, including the 1,200-foot Lakewalk between Broadway Avenue and the Depot, completed in June 2024. This gives visitors a specific completed feature to distinguish from later proposals.

Separate future work from today’s amenities

Later parks and Foreman House work remain dependent on future funding and project decisions. Do not treat the entire Panoway program as complete. Consult the city’s current project information when a planned feature affects your expectations for the area.

Use current community information

The city’s News and Community resources link to calendars, newsletters, municipal services and volunteering information. Check the relevant organizer for a specific event or opportunity. An old festival calendar, shop count or tourism description is not a reliable guide to current hours, admission or service. Explore the routes and places that would form your own everyday routine.
